Product description

ANDERcontrol (culture bags) to control spider mites

Amblyseius andersoni
ANDERcontrol contains the predatory mite Amblyseius andersoni. The predatory mite is an important fighter of red spider mite (Tetranychus urticae). It also affects other spider mite species such as: fruit spider mite, citrus mite and various gall and rust mite species. In addition, Andersoni also develops on pollen and thrips. For this reason, even in the absence of spider mite on alternative food sources, Andersoni can maintain itself in the crop. The predatory mite is already active from 6 °C and occurs naturally in Dutch shrubs and trees. A. andersoni is therefore native and can survive well in our climate. Early in spring, with the emergence of the first (spider mites), A. andersoni is already active and therefore the suitable predatory mite to suppress the pest at an early stage. A. andersoni is very resistant to high temperatures and/or low humidity and is therefore extremely suitable for along facades in greenhouses.

Product characteristic
• Fight many mites
• Active between 6 and 40°C.

Quality control
At Royal Brinkman, a team of specialists checks the quality of beneficial insects, mites and nematodes. Based on a protocol, they work to deliver the best quality to the customers.

Packaging
ANDERcontrol is supplied per 250 grow bags (each bag has a minimum of 250 predatory mites). The contents of a sachet consists of various stages of Andersoni predatory mites, feed mites and carrier (bran). In the bags there is continuous production of Amblyseius andersoni. During a few weeks, dosed predatory mites are released from the small holes in the bags. The bags are provided with a hanging hook which makes it easy to introduce the predatory mites into the crop.

In addition to culture bags, ANDERcontrol is also available as a separate material in a tube (1 liter) with 25,000 predatory mites.

Instructions for use
Keep product cool until use. Allow the product to cool down to (greenhouse) temperature. Prevent too rapid an increase in temperature, this can lead to a temperature shock for the predatory mites. Open the box with the bags in the crop. Tear the bags apart along the perforations. Spread the culture bags as well as possible over the crop. Hang the bags in a place sheltered from the sun. Avoid contact with heating pipes and CO2 pipes. The degree of application always depends on the pest pressure in the crop, so ask the product specialist for the correct dosage.

Storage and transport
Upon receipt, check the product for discrepancies and report any complaints or comments within 24 hours. Preferably use the product immediately. If storage is required, the product should be stored horizontally and in a dark place in a ventilated room at a temperature of 15-18°C and an air humidity of 70-80% for a maximum of 24 hours. If the product is stored longer and/or under different conditions Royal Brinkman is not liable for any loss of quality.
